Genesis Rising is a space-based RTS game from Metamorf Studios, where you can control a bionical mothership, and several other ships.
The gametakes place in the future from 3000 years from now, when humans fully use gene-manipulation to conquer the universe, by building organic, living ships. They are succeeded, there is only one galaxy left (from the hundread billion? huh!) to conquer, and actually this is the one that contains the Universal Heart, a gadget that you have to get.
This feature, to have organic ships is not just visually nice, but it changes the whole gameplay. The most important raw-material in the game is blood. Shipblood. The hostile aliens' ships are also organic, so after youdestroy them, you must suck their blood. Also, when you get a hit, you can see the blood leaking out of the ship's body.
The second most important raw-material is the enemy ships genes, that you can get with its blood. The genes let you equip better guns, engines, more manouverability, you can get it from the blood.
