FEAR Summary
F.E.A.R is a first person shooter with science fiction and horror elements developed by Monolith. It was released on October 15, 2005. The game has elements of any traditional shooter, but with an added twist. There are points in the game where the character hears sounds, voices or sees things that may or may not be there. It gives a Resident Evil type feel in the sense that in can scare the player at times, but in multiple ways.
Summary
The game starts off with your character starting his first day on the job for the First Encounter Assault Recon team (which also can remind one of Resident Evil). The team has been called upon to investigate and contain a situation that has sprout up. Quickly you find yourself all alone as your unit is killed, but you still get to march on and figure out what is causing the disturbance. The main evil is the little girl who seems to be causing all the hallucinations, but there are plenty of other creatures along the way that are very much real and ready to kill you. The hero has superior abilities to the average human, which can be increased throughout the game.
New
There has been one expansion to the game, called F.E.A.R. Extraction Point. It was developed by TimeGate Studios, and was released on October 24, 2006. There are new levels, weapons and enemies added for the single player mode. Probably the most intriguing addition is a better Artificial Intelligence to the enemies in the game. It starts right where the original game ended, and the first game is needed in order to play the expansion. There are no changes to the multi-player mode.
