Half Life 2 Summary
Nutshell
Officially one of the highest-rated games ever released, Half-Life 2 returns Gordon Freeman to a world ruled by the alien hybrid "Combine" several years after the events of Black Mesa. Picking up his crowbar once again, the player must work his way through a beautifully rendered world on the brink of revolution, experiencing a previously-unmatched physics engine that can be used to your advantage thanks to the help of the infamous Gravity Gun, and following a storyline that leaves the player almost desperate for more.
Literary References
The Combine is a direct reference to the novel "One flew over the Cuckoo's nest " by Ken Kesey where the narrator refers to societies pressure to conform as "the combine".
