The Ship Summary
In The Ship, the player is tasked with being both the cat and the mouse in a sadistic game that takes place upon any number of luxury cruise ships. Mr. X simply wants a good show, so the use of many non-typical types of weapons is encouraged, and also warrant a bigger payday.
Gameplay
The game plays like a very interesting mixture between Counterstrike, The Sims, and Clue. Players must take care of physical needs, just like the micromanagement needed in The Sims. While doing this, however, the player also has to avoid being killed while onboard the ship. Each participant in a game is both a passenger (ie. Target), and a hunter, so while one player is looking for their target (indicated with a name and last known location), someone is also looking for that player.
Issues
Griefers are the bane of this game's existance, as there is really no penalty for killing the wrong person, either on accident or just to ruin the game. Because of this, online servers can often become unbearable, forcing people either to other servers, or away from the game altogether.
Overall
An excellent idea, and some great execution, along with a great artistic style create a unique game experience that is well worth the $19.99 on Valve's Steam delivery system.
