Age of Conan is a massively-multiplayer online role-playing game from Funcom, the makers of Anarchy Online. The game aims to be a more mature online experience with an emphasis on action over constant dungeon crawling and grinding. The game is planned to use a faster combat system than the typical MMORPG click-and-wait type system, involving targeting six different body zones and dueling other players in real time. Players will also be able to create battle formations to use in epic war scenarios against other players and even entire guilds.

Aside from those details, Funcom has only expressed interest in two other things regarding Age of Conan. They want to create a darker, more mature, experience for their players, as well as lots of higher-level content.

Age of Conan is currently planned for PC release in Fall 2007.
