Hellgate London is an upcoming FPS/TPS-RPG hybrid from Flagship Studios as the developers, which is basically a group from the legendary Diablo's makers.
It takes time in 2038, a few years after the Hell has been opened, and all kind of ugly daemonic forces crawled out of it, to destroy human civilization (as usually). The generic military forces melt away soon, there is only three rebelling fraction, each of them is eligible by the player.
The fractions are:
Templar: Medieval-style armored knights, the defenders of faith, powerful warriors and sometimes, users of magic.
Cabalist: Magicians, users of all kind of destructive power, they even learned to control the daemonic forces, however they made it so well than sometimes it is not clear, what makes them different from the enemy
Hunter: The remaining forces of the technical civilization and the military. Bounty hunters of the future, with guns, other long-range weapons, and special modern tools.
