<BODY>Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, developed by EA Games, is a real-time strategy, and sequel to the very popular Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun. It takes place in the year 2047, approximately 17 years after the death of Kane. While the battles between the The Brotherhood of Nod and the Global Defense Initiative have almost entirely come to a halt, an infestation of Tiberium, a crystalline mineral that pollutes the air and makes the area inhospitable, is destroying Earth's ecosystem. Seizing the opportunity, the Brotherhood lays a decisive blow against GDI, and destroys GDI's orbiting command station, The Philadelphia, throwing the already unstable Earth into civil unrest. As the Global Defense Initiative tries yet again to regain control of Earth's population, a hostile and Tiberium-hungry alien force, the Scrin, enter the picture, and force both sides to reevaluate their goals.<BODY>
