Developed by the creative geniuses of Firaxis Games and published by 2k Games, Sid Meier's Civilization IV is a turn-base strategy game continuing upon the popular Civilization series, challenging you to advance one of the 18 civilizations (America, Arabia, Aztec, China, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Greece, Inca, India, Japan, Mali, Mongolia, Persia, Rome, Russia and Spain) with one of the 26 greatest leaders in the known history of the world winning with varying conditions.

Civilization IV is the first of the series to use true 3D graphics, dynamic audio system, choice to fully automate workers and an expanded Civilopedia that encompasses nearly every aspect of the game to help those new and old to the series.

Earn your score by challenging yourself against more difficult opponents on higher difficulty levels. Corruption (very unpopular feature in Civ III) has been replaced with City Maintenance, Great People have been added for several different effects including one-time bonuses and unique buildings, founding/spreading of religions, Strict governments have been replaced with flexible civic models, Barbarian hoards now form cities in the “Fog of War”, units are capable of gaining experience points and earning promotions for specialization as well as replacing the military attack/defense ratings with a Strength rating.
